Klara Ström (b: 1990, Tanum, Sweden) is an artist based in Gothenburg. She works thematically with text and voice in performance where characters are portrayed with the help of costume and scenography. Her work also takes shape in spatial installations, sculpture, painting and video. Ström processes the personal through literary history and plays with symbolism in chopped-up narratives that remind us of stories we know from the past. She explores themes such as fear, revenge, legacy and loss. In an exploratory work with tin as a material, sculpture and costume are produced by melting down and reshaping recycled tin objects. Klara holds a master's degree in fine arts from Konstfack, Stockholm and a bachelor's degree from Kunstakademiet at Kunsthøgskolen i Oslo.
